Bomet County is a county in the former Rift Valley Province of Kenya. Its capital and largest town is Bomet. The county has a population of 730,129 (2009 census) and an area of 1,997.9 km². The population of the county is  multi-racial and multi-ethnic with the Kipsigis people being the most predominant ethnicity. Major towns and market centers in the county include: Bomet town, Sotik town, Mulot market, Silibwet market, Kaplong market ,Ndanai market, Siongiroi market, Chebunyo market, Sigor market and Mogogosiek market among others.
