Bomet County will host this year’s National Volleyball League from tomorrow Friday 20th to Sunday 22nd April 2018 at the Silibwet grounds, the CECM for Social Services, Sports and Culture Mr Benard Ngeno has said. He said Bomet is greatly honoured to host this year’s league. The league is organized by the Kenya Volleybal Federation. There shall also be an open volleyball tournament running alongside the national league, said Ng’eno. Twenty four teams have confirmed participation in the national league while more than 60 teams have confirmed participation in the open tournament. Bomet has two teams participating in the national league and 48 in the open tournament. Some of the big teams expected in the national league are Kenya Pipeline, Ulinzi, Posta, GSU, and Kenya Prisons. Mr Ng’eno who is also the CECM in charge of Trade said all arrangements for the event have been finalized. He said entry will be free and asked residents of Bomet to turn out in large numbers to cheer the home teams.
